JHL APPROACH
JHL provide Landscape Design and Build services for domestic and commercial clients. Effective communication is key and we keep in regular contact with our clients throughout every stage of the project lifecycle. We operate with a simple but effective methodology.
Stage 1 – Client Requirements
Initially we will discuss your aspirations, wants, needs and affordability (budget). This is a two-way engagement process ensuring we are the right partner of choice for you. We will either hold this initial engagement via phone or face to face (depending on our client preference)
Stage 2 – On-site Meeting
Once you are confident we are the partner you would like to work with, we will schedule a time to visit your site to discuss requirements in more detail and talk through initial ideas and show any examples of work that can add some colour and context to your ideas
Stage 3 – Initial Design
We will send you a high-level design document and estimate for works
Stage 4 – Detailed Design and Estimation
The detailed design is usually ready between 2 – 4 weeks from the date of completing initial design. We can then work through any changes needed before preparing a final fixed price, outcome statement of work, with time-scales, material breakdown and any plant (machinery) requirements
Stage 5 – Approval and Work Commencement
On approval of the fixed price quote we will agree a start date, schedule and discuss any planting and installation plans. Twenty percent (20%) of payment is required at this stage to secure resources and scheduling commitments
Stage 6 – Build Check Point
Roughly 50% through the build schedule we arrange for a joint build and progress review with our clients to ensure we are on track with translating our client ideas into build reality and also ensure our clients are satisfied with the build quality. Thirty percent (30%) of payment is required at this stage
Stage 7 – Build Completion
Once the build is complete we will complete a full post project review with our client to ensure the build is in-line with the original design and quote. Subject to weather all works should be developed in-line with the agreed schedule and any variations will be agreed with our clients. Upon client sign-off the remaining balance is due for settlement
All Stages – Governance
Health and Safety regulations are strictly adhered to for the protection of our people, our clients, pets, wildlife and property. We are fully insured and use only licenced permit holders for waste removal.
